Movements of Grace delivered its first samples of Bits to Venezuelan Refugees

Bits is a dehydrated and freeze dried fruit and vegetable product that is manufactured from wasted misshaped, bruised and overstocked produce. In partnership with Pueblo De Dios, Movements of Grace is converting some of the 10-12 tons of produce thrown away every day at Corabastos Commercial Market (the second largest in Latin America) into portable nutritious meals. Freeze dried produce retains 90% of its nutritional value and has a shelf life of 20 years.

During the first week of April we received our first samples of Bits and were able to distribute them to Refugees walking the highways of Bogota as well as at the bus station. The response to Bits was overwhelmingly positive, especially among the refugee children. Movements of Grace is committed to manufacturing and distributing thousands of these meals in 2022.
