Our Mission

Movements of Grace provides consistent and creative nutritional food solutions for Venezuelan refugees.

Movements of Grace engages the body of Christ to use their gifts (spiritual, business, financial, personal) to create innovative and real world solutions to maximize our relief efforts to refugee populations.

Today the largest refugee crisis in the world is happening just a few hours south of the United States in Venezuela. To date over 5.9 million Venezuelans have fled their homeland in search of food and survival as the turmoil caused by a corrupt and inept government has turned what just ten years ago was the wealthiest nation in Latin America into a desolate nation unable to consistently provide the most basic necessities such as food, medicine and electricity. Of those remaining in Venezuela, 94% live in poverty.

Movements of Grace has been responding to this crisis for over four years by participating in the shipment of millions of dehydrated soup meals into Venezuela and neighboring Colombia. We are committed to continuing to ship millions of meals each year as well as developing new creative food solutions which will provide long-term sustainable feeding resources for Venezuelans in their home country as well as for the almost two million refugees who have sought relief in neighboring Colombia.
This year Movements of Grace will begin converting tons of wasted produce into nutritious low cost food to donate to refugee communities.

In partnership with our Colombian non-profit partner People of “Pueblo de Dios” for All, and with the support and counsel of a community of seasoned businessmen here in Orange County, we have begun a working relationship with Corabastos Market in Bogota Colombia. Corabastos is the second largest produce market in Latin America with 70% of all produce in Colombia passing through this location. Every day at Corabastos 10 to 12 tons of food is wasted and thrown away. People of “Pueblo de Dios” for All and MOG will be converting a portion of this waste into a sustainable food source for Venezuelans and Colombians living in poverty by converting this waste into dehydrated and freeze dried snacks and meals.
Freeze dried produce retains 90% of its nutritional value and has a shelf life of 20 years. In addition it is compact and light weight, perfect for those refugees walking hundreds of miles to their destinations. Over the next year we will be expanding our product offerings to include more frontline partners as well as pursuing new locally sourced food products including the possibility of a Colombian manufactured dehydrated soup.

In addition, MOG continues to partner with Venezelanos en Kendall and Gleanings for the hungry to ship millions of dehydrated soup meals directly in Venezuela.

We provide our network of church partners and NGO’s in Venezuela and Colombia the resources they need to faithfully feed, both physically and spiritually, the vulnerable communities they serve every day.

While the crisis in Venezuela has brought incredible suffering to millions of people it also has created an opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel through our fulfillment of God’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
